A True Connection with God ( a story about why I write)

     Throughout my years in homeschool I always hated writing. Mainly because I had to write 5 book reports and so many essays for my tests each year. I never enjoyed writing until about 2 years after I started working retail. There was girl I worked with who was a sweetheart and a good friend. She used to joke around and tell people I wrote her poems and stuff. So I decided to write her one for real and thus came my first poem called “He Has Created You.” After that I fell in love with writing but not just because I discovered I could poems and short stories and I enjoy doing it. But because I finally found my way of personally and truly connecting with God. When I’m writing, whether it’s with pen and paper or I’m typing on my iPad/iPhone or computer, everything around me going on in my life fades away into the corner and it not on my mind but for the topic of which I am writing. It was the first time I found a way where I could explain things in a detailed way people could understand that I couldn’t do in person. It’s not just when I’m writing poems and short stories but also when I’m writing In my prayer and bible study journals. Many people don’t know this about me but I have Attention Deficit Disorder and when I was in school I wouldn’t do my school work and I didn’t socialize very well and I still don’t. Yeah I can sit here and talk to you about sports like baseball, nascar, and football, movies like STAR WARS, and other tv shows but when it comes to talking about life things that are very personal I tend to get very nervous and quite. And when It comes to girls/women I am usually extremely nervous and don’t know how tell them things like when I like them a lot for example. I can socialize up certain points I guess. That’s how writing really helps me. But that has lead me to develop some habits when texting people. For example i tend to sometimes type out very very very long paragraphs when texting people which I call it “writers habit.” Many people don’t really understand it but sometimes when I can’t tell you something in person cause I get so nervous. I tend to hide behind text messaging because I feel more comfortable that way and when that happens I text you about what I wanted tell you and usually type a very long message. Writing has helped me so much in connecting with God and sharing His word and also connecting with others. We all have our own way of personally and truly connecting with God. You may not have found your way of truly connecting with God yet but you will. I was having writer's block for the longest but now my brain is flowing full of ideas to write about once again. I hope to keep writing new stories in the future. I write when ever I feel really stressed out and I write directly to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So may God bless you and in His name amen!!.
