                                                                Waiting a Difficult Thing to Do

.                                                                     By Jeremy Thomas Holt

First a scripture to support my poem.

Isaiah 40:31

New King James Version (NKJV)

31 But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

And now my poem.

Waiting is a very difficult thing to do, especially when you miss someone like I do or if you’re in an emergency medical situation.  We grow impatient while waiting.  Like if you’re waiting for someone or something you want it now not later. When we wait for God we grow very impatient because we think God is taking way too long.  God works on His own timing. He doesn’t do things when you’re ready for Him to do it; He does things when He’s ready to do them. Because He’s God and He is going to do things for you when He thinks you’re ready. You might think you’re ready but He sees that you’re not ready. Because if you want something really badly that you want to have as soon as possible you’ll be very impatient. See here, you don’t have to sit around and wait and be impatient. Instead you can do things to pass the time. Take me for example.  I miss the girl I love whom I’ve been unable to speak with for almost a month because of parental reasons.  I know that she loved me and she most likely misses me to. I admit I’ve grown impatient waiting for the day we can talk gain and for her to be brought back into my life once more. I came to realize that I can’t send her any texts because it’ll get her in more trouble and I can’t just keep sending her messages on the game we met on.  Because that’s not going to work at all to fix the situation, what will work is turning the situation over to God. Because He is the only one who can fix it now, because everything is possible with Him. I have decided to turn the situation over to God.  To let Him take care of it because nothing I do will work. I’m not worried too much about it at all. I know she loves me and I hope and pray that she is trying any and everything to get her mom to change her mind. I pray day and night for her (Nat) my sweet girl. I won’t give up hope on me and her because all things are possible when you put your trust in God.  Because I believe in God, and I believe that Nat and I are meant for each other. So I’m going to wait patiently for the day she and I get to talk again and be part of each other’s lives again. And while I’m waiting I’m going to pass the time by continuing to write and play music and serve my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Because waiting for God is the right thing and the only thing to do.  If you wait for God you will gain strength, you will be able to things such as walking or running without tiring, if you wait for God to give what is meant for you He will bless you. That is if you are patient and wait for His (God’s) timing. For his timing is perfect. So be patient and wait, and pass the time doing other things if you have to. Because waiting is hard but also very necessary. In Jesus name amen. May God add His blessings to the words I have just written.
