The Lack Of Forgiveness In America by Jeremy Thomas Holt
The Lack Of Forgiveness In America by Jeremy Thomas Holt
Darkness shrouds our world and threatens to ruin us all. I’ve heard many times people saying there is not enough love in this world and that is very true. But love is not the only thing our world lacks. There is not enough forgiveness in the world. Many people lack the ability to forgive one another. So many people have become more concerned with hating otters and fighting with each rather than loving each other and forgiving each other. That’s what the devil wants us to is to hate each other and fight amongst ourselves. He is the king of division, the king of hatred, the king of all things evil, and king of the darkness. But we can fight his evil darkness and his calls for us to fight with each other by first forgiving each other. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.” God teaches us to forgive one another and if we forgive one another He will forgive us as stated in Matthew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.” Forgiveness is one of the most important things we must do in life alongside love. If we can’t forgive someone then all we have is hatred and that is not good. Hatred leads you to doing things you wouldn’t normally do. You might do Things like seeking revenge on someone, name calling, being ignorant, being selfish, trying to ruin someone’s life or career, make up lies and false accusations towards others and so on. Hate divides us while forgiveness can unite us. Remember the events 9/11 and what happened during the aftermath? Americans bought up all of the American flags and we came together without caring about what color each other’s skin was, without caring what each other believed in, without caring whether each other was republican or Democrat. We came together because a great force of darkness attacked us and tried to divide us. I forgive everyone who has wronged me, everyone who has hurt my feelings, everyone who has hurt me, and etc. May God forgive them and forgive me for our sins. Forgive others if you want to be forgiven. In Jesus name amen.
